While fighting for every tonne of cargo to be handled in the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście and striving for a better competitive position of out ports, the management of the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority has remained socially responsible. For this reason, every year, we are involved in various charity events in the region. One of the most important of them is the Final of the Great Christmas Aid Orchestra.

On 8th January 2012, all over Poland the jubilee 20th Final of the Aid Orchestra was held. Under the honorary patronage of the Polish President Bronisław Komorowski people collected donations for purchasing the state-of-the-art life saving equipment for early born children and insulin pumps for pregnant women.

As every year, the Seaports Authority cooperated with the Orchestra staff based in the Galaxy Shopping Mall. Not only is 2012 a jubilee year but also an opportunity to pay tribute to Orchestra partners. On the day of the 20th Final Event, Jarosław Siergiej, Chairman of Board at the Seaports Authority, received thanks for multiple-year involvement of the company in collecting funds. On this occasion, the company received a statuette.
Together with the Chairman, at the stage appeared representatives of Unity Line and Scouts Post.

This was a very nice gesture on the part of the organizers. It was received by the Port with pride and conviction that supporting the Orchestra in consecutive years was really worthwhile, so the Orchestra could play 'till the end of time, and a day longer'.

On 9th August 2011, at the premises of the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority, a contract was signed for a project of modernising railway infrastructure in the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście.

The Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority has just hosted a meeting with representatives of the Eastern Brandenburg Chamber of Industry and Trade, Port of Schwedt and BEHALA ports of Berlin.

On 27.04.2011 at the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority a meeting was held involving representatives of our company and the Port Authority of Klaipeda and cargo handling companies operating in the Lithuanian port.
