The first DB train in The Szczecin Seaport

THE FIRST DB TRAIN IN THE SZCZECIN SEAPORT

On 20th January 2010, the Szczecin Seaport received the first Deutsche Bahn train (DB). A train set of 25 cars took 1700 tonnes of aluminium in blocks to be delivered to one of Polish steel mills. Aluminium was transported to the Port of Szczecin from St Petersburg.

The dispatching client was Rhenus and DB Port Szczecin was responsible for handling of the cargo (unloading from ship and loading on railway cars).
It was the first complete train set by Deutsche Bahn to arrive at the Port of Szczecin.
