On 8th April 2010 the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority opened bids for the contractor to develop a project of ‘Building an LNG berthing facility in the external basin in Świnoujście’.
Eight consortia expressed their interest during the pre-qualification stage and one bid was withdrawn for formal reasons.
Out of seven bidders qualified to the next stage, four consortia delivered their bids, which included leading businesses in the sector, such as Hydrobudowa Gdańsk S.A., Josef Mobius Bau-Aktiengesellschaft, Boskalis Polska Sp. z o.o. and Warbud S.A.
Bidding prices varied, ranging from net PLN167 to 252 million. The most competitive bid was submitted by a consortium led by Josef Mobius Bau-Aktiengesellschaft. 
The final decision is to be made after a detailed examination of all bids by the end of April this year. Building should start in July 2010 to be completed by December 2012.
