The projects included modernisation of road infrastructure in ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście, modernisation of rail infrastructure in the two ports, and modernisation of port infrastructure in the northern part of the Szczecin Seaport (Ewa Peninsula).
The signing of the contracts was attended by Anna Wypych- Namiotko, Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Infrastructure, and Anna Siejda, Director of the EU Transport Project Centre.
The total grant is PLN170 million. Tenders leading to selecting contractors are in progress regarding the first two projects. Bids are planned to be opened on 10th November this year.
The implementation of the thirds project is expected to start in 2011.
It is yet another success in modernising the ports, enhancing their competitiveness and improving quality of services provided.
