ImageThe Szczecin and Swinoujscie Seaports Authority offers long-term lease of the whole or parts of about 20ha plot of land.

It is an investment opportunity for logistic operators who are expected to build on the leased land low and tall storage warehouses, cold storages, rolling stock service stations, client service facilities, etc.

The land has full infrastructure, including internal roads, accesses, railway siding and a car park for 40 cars. It is ready for investment from the point of view of legal and formal requirements.

One of the advantages of the future Westpomeranian Logistic Centre is its location in the seaport which attracts large flows of cargo transported by sea. Similar centres have been operating in other European ports for many years. Such centres operate on not only on a regional scale or provide distribution of goods to neighbouring regions. This is also a feature distinguishing the Westpomeranian Logistic Centre from other centres in Poland. The centre will have much wider impact including not only the whole of Poland, but also the very well linked eastern part of Germany and the 5 million agglomeration of Berlin, and countries south of Poland such as the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The main advantage of the centre is its location where many goods are delivered for further distribution, e.g. packaging, labelling and longer storage. It is also possible to develop manufacturing based on raw materials and components imported by sea.

The attractiveness of the logistic centre is also based on a new container terminal developed in the vicinity, as well as the area for servicing general cargo. The port provides regular services for container feeder lines to Hamburg and Bremerhaven, lines to West Africa, and short sea shipping to Great Britain, Ireland, and Finland. Such a location opens the shortest way for cargo which is not transported by public roads. Instead, if decided by shipping company or cargo owner, it is not delivered directly from the port to its destination but processed in the future logistic centre.

The Westpomeranian Logistic Centre should be an ideal location for providing logistic services to rapidly growing imports from the Far East.

The opportunity of using the Duty Free Zone is also very important for goods from beyond the European Union.

The Szczecin and Swinoujscie Seaports Authority offers prospective investors full assistance in the preparatory and building process.
