 is a project financed from funds of the Commonwealth Initiative INTERREG III C. 20 partners from 12 countries of EU and Russia participate in it. The duration of the project is 3 years (2005 - 2007). The value of the entire project is 1.7 million EUR.
The aim of the project is the promotion of international cooperation with particular reference to sea-policy, management and financing of port activity, short-range shipping, seaways, logistic centres and the spatial integration of ports and cities. Particular interest of participants of the project concerns seaports which constitute an essential transportation link. Raising the quality of the working of ports, promotion of cost-effective and environmentally friendly natural intermodal transportation, targeting generation of new possibilities to create added value, increase of employment and increase of wealth in regions of port locations.
