 Intermodality and Interoperability around the Baltic Sea. The project received financing from funds of the Commonwealth Initiative INTERREG III B BSR. 43 partners from 8 states from the Baltic Sea region and from Norway participate in it. The duration of the project is 2 years (2006 - 2007). Planned budget of the project is 2.85 million EUR.
The project concerns creating a fully integrated and well-balanced transportation system in northern Europe and the purchase of an operating system which will allow the standardisation of documents in the logistics chain and will save time. The participation of ZMPSiŚ in the project emphasises the role and meaning of ports in Szczecin and Swinoujscie in the transportation system of Baltic States, in the development of transportation corridors and seaways. ZMPSiŚ is also interested in obtaining software which will be available to customers of the ports and help improve cooperation and document transportation flow.
