Baltic Gateway

Project financed from funds of the Commonwealth InitiativeINTERREG III B BSR. 38 partners from 7 countries situated in the Baltic Sea region participate in it. The duration of the project is 3 years (2004 - 2006). The entire budget of the project 2 million EUR.

The project was with ceremony finished during the conference which took place in Rostock from 23 to 24-02-2006. At the same time there was the conference opening the project Balic Gateway Plus.

The aim of the project Baltic Gateway was the promotion of the region of the southern Baltic as "gates" between East and West, North and South, by development of:
- seaways;
- physical infrastructure of transport;
- services and uses connected with this infrastructure;
- organizational support and cooperation with academia, business and public administration.
