The Multiple-year Investment Programme until 2015 provides for building new quays and modernising existing port infrastructure, as well as improving roads and rebuilding rail infrastructure. The Programme focuses on the following objectives: adjusting infrastructure in ports of Szczecin and Swinoujscie to requirements of modern transport systems operated in land-sea cargo handling; enhancing competitiveness of the two ports on the port services market and preparing the ports for the expected intensive increase in cargo handling in the Baltic Sea Region and shifting cargo from roads to sea.
