Another pro-ecological action in the port of Szczecin

The port of Szczecin-Świnoujście was enriched with a sediment field and a storage bunker in Ostrów Grabowski, built by the company Infra-Port. This is where the materials left over from cleaning the drains and the rainwater drainage system will be stored and disposed of. It is another pro-ecological action in the port area.

ZMPSiŚ invests in ordering the sewage management and equipping new areas in the areas of Szczecin and Świnoujście ports with sanitary and rainwater discharge infrastructure.

Let us recall that a huge investment is being carried out in both ports, "Expansion and modernization of technical infrastructure in the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście."

Yesterday (2 September), Tomasz Hinc, the voivode of West Pomerania, signed a permit for the investment in Szczecin, previously in Świnoujście.

The works carried out will organize and supplement the technical infrastructure in all areas of the port of Szczecin and Świnoujście. This will ensure optimization of the use of energy carriers, improvement of the environmental protection situation and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

In Świnoujście, the sewage infrastructure will be adapted to receive pollution from ships. The existing treatment plant will be liquidated and the sewage will be redirected to the municipal treatment plant. In Szczecin, the sanitary sewage system from the Katowice Peninsula will be connected to the existing sewage drainage network to the sewage treatment plant of Spółka Wodna "Międzyodrze".

The works are carried out in such a way that the ports can continue to function during the construction works.

The planned cost of the entire project is nearly 118.3
