In the Szczecin-Świnoujście ports, four companies want to modernize the technical infrastructure


Four companies entered the ZMPSiŚ SA tender for the implementation of the investment task: "Expansion and modernization of technical infrastructure in the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście".


The most expensive of the offers exceeds PLN 170 million, while the cheapest one is less than PLN 127 million. The tender is currently being adjudicated.


A wide range of works

The scope of works is very wide, as it includes: water supply networks, sanitary sewage system, rainwater sewage system, power supply, teletechnical networks, fire water network and land drainage system. The works carried out will organize and supplement the technical infrastructure in all areas of the port of Szczecin and Świnoujście. This will ensure optimization of the use of energy carriers, improvement of the environmental protection situation and adjustment, including compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

The selected contractor will also have to clean up the area on which the works will be carried out. For this purpose, it will carry out the necessary demolition and demolition of old infrastructure and remove trees and shrubs that collide with the investment underway.

The continuity of the port's operation will be ensured

The works will be carried out in such a way that the ports can continue to function during the construction works, hence the contractor will be responsible for the construction of all necessary technical infrastructure necessary for proper functioning, such as access roads, paving, protective barriers, etc., as well as the design and construction of temporary and permanent traffic organization.

Effects of the investment

Ultimately, the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście will be environmentally friendly with an effective technical infrastructure. It will be modern, clean and cheap to operate. This will have a significant positive impact on almost all spheres of functioning of the port complex as a whole, as well as the transshipment companies.
