Container Terminal in Szczecin

In the immediate area of ZCL (Westpomeranian Logistic Centre) is another port investment, the

container terminal. It encompasses the construction of the Finnish dock 240 m in length and 10.5 m in depth and ro-ro loading platform. The yearly loading capacity of the new terminal will amount to 80 thousand TEU in the first stage.

Both the logistics centre as well as the newly constructed container terminal will have a

convenient position from the land side - connection with Gdanska Street across the bridge over the Parnica with the transportation route to Lower Silesia, Poznan and Warsaw. The distance to Germany on highway A6 and international Route E65 is only 8 km.

The investment is financed by resources from the European Fund of Regional Development

within the framework of the Sectorial Operational Programme – Transport 2004-2006 and will be ready in 2007. A modern complex offering loading service with modern technology will be created like this in the port of Szczecin.
