Nine months of growth

The Ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście recorded nearly three percent growth of cargo handling in the past nine months of the year. In the forefront of cargo types handled are fuels, break bulk and grain. The increased cargo handling is possible due to the operation of the gas terminal and new grain terminals, as well as a continuous increase in traffic in the Świnoujście Ferry Terminal.

Bulk cargo area to celebrate its 100 years anniversary

On 13th October this year, the bulk cargo port is to celebrate its centennial anniversary. The event coincides with the 25th anniversary of Bulk Cargo–Port Szczecin.

Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority joins European Federation of Inland Ports (EFIP)

On the 1st of September, the Szczecin and Świnoujście port complex became a new member of the European Federation of Inland Ports. Since 1994, EFIP has been the voice of the inland ports in Europe. This organization highlights and promotes the role of inland ports. The Szczecin and Świnoujście port complex is the first ever Polish member in the EFIP.

Cargo handling has gone up

In July this year, the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście handled 16% cargo more and in the past 7 months nearly 4% more cargo than in the corresponding periods of last year.

Working ministerial visit

On 11th August this year, Marek Gróbarczyk, the Minister of Maritime Economy and Inland Shipping, and Paweł Brzezicki, the Under-Secretary of State at the ministry, came with a working visit to the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority.

Improved figures for cargo handling

A detailed analysis of figures has confirmed preliminary findings regarding good results in cargo handling in the Szczecin-Świnoujście seaports. In June only, cargo handling increased by 15.8 %, whereas in the first half of the year by 2.1 %.

Military assessment

On 13th June this year, the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority hosted a meeting involving representatives of the US Army C/457th Civil Affairs Battalion, the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority and DB Port Szczecin. The meeting aimed at assessing the civil and military cooperation during the international exercise Anakonda 16 in the port of Szczecin.

The Maritime Congress has ended

On Friday 10th June this year, after three days of numerous debates, discussions and speeches, the 4th Maritime Congress had its official conclusion on board of Dar Młodzieży frigate.

Press conference of the International Headquarters Corps Northeast in Szczecin

On 18 May  press conference of the International Headquarters Corps Northeast in Szczecin took place in the port of Szczecin. It was preceded by a briefing in the headquarter of the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority.

The largest American transport carrier in Szczecin

On 14 May  m/v Independence II - the greatest American transport vessel moored at the port of Szczecin.
