Extension and modernization of technical infrastructure in the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście - signing a contract with the contractor

The Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority SA signed a contract with Korporacja Budowlana DORACO for the performance of works under the project "Extension and modernization of technical infrastructure in the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście".

Korporacja Budowlana Doraco Sp. z o.o. was selected in a public tender. The contract was signed on the part of ZMPSiŚ by: Jacek Cichocki, vice-president of the management board for development and Daniel Stachiewicz, vice-president of the management board for economic and financial matters, on the part of Doraco: Andrzej Kędzior - the company's representative.

The task will include the construction of new and modernization of the existing technical infrastructure, including water supply, heating and gas networks, as well as electricity, telecommunication networks (including modernization of the monitoring system and telemetry system, automation of access gates) and fire / technical water, as well as water sewage system rainfall and sanitary sewage system. The contractor will also carry out the necessary demolitions and demolitions of the existing technical infrastructure, as well as perform any new, necessary for the proper functioning, e.g. access roads, paving, protective barriers, etc. The scope of the task also includes the construction of electricity supply points for ferries from the land network and sanitary sewage collection system.

In order to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the port, the contractor will also design and implement temporary and permanent traffic organization. Moreover, where it is needed, the removal of trees and shrubs colliding with the implemented investment is planned. The works are to be completed by October 31, 2023.

"Expansion and modernization of technical infrastructure in the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście" is an investment of ZMPSiŚ, which will reduce the costs of port operation and limit the effects of their impact on the natural environment.

The investment is being implemented in connection with the concluded Co-financing Agreement No. POIS.03.02.00-00-0074 / 19-00 of the Project "Development and modernization of technical infrastructure in the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście", No. POIS.03.02.00-00-0074 / 19 under Measure 3.2. Development of maritime transport, inland waterways and multimodal connections, priority axis III. Development of the TEN-T road network and multimodal transport of the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Program 2014-2020. The cost is PLN 141,485,838.67 gross. (Monika Woźniak-Lewandowska)
