The ports of Szczecin-Świnoujście have started implementing PCS
In line with the development program of Polish ports and the improvement of accessibility to the port infrastructure and the digitization of port processes, the implementation of an electronic ship notification method to the port dispatcher, which is part of the PCS brokerage system, has begun.
PCS (Port Community System) is to reduce delays in cargo traffic and facilitate the flow of electronic data. Its extensive modules are to improve the work of, among others during customs clearance, the ship's entry and stay in the port, or when collecting waste from ships.
The applied solution is to ensure, above all, uniformity, correctness and completeness of the transferred data and the possibility of their further re-use. After the transition period, the ship's notification to the Port Operator will be possible only in electronic form.
An access account will be created for each agent on the platform prepared for handling notification forms.
