The final of the parking project at the ferry terminal in Świnoujście
The Świnoujście Ferry Terminal has a new additional parking lot with 278 parking spaces for trucks. The investment of the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority has just been completed.
The new car park was built at ul. Finnish in the immediate vicinity of the ferry terminal. It is connected to the water, sewage, electricity and teletechnical networks. It has a signaling system, road markings, lighting, as well as sanitary and waste recycling installations.
The purpose of this much-needed investment in connection with the constant increase in car traffic at the ferry terminal is not only to improve the access infrastructure to the port, but also to care for the natural environment and improve the sea connection between Świnoujście and two ports in Sweden - Trelleborg and Ystad. The effects will also be felt by the inhabitants of Świnoujście, because when truck traffic is crowded, they will no longer restrict traffic in the city on the routes leading to the terminal. In addition, sanitary facilities available in the car park will improve the comfort of drivers waiting for the ferry.
The project worth over PLN 30 million was carried out in the design and build formula by PRO-TRA BUILDING Sp. z o.o. from Wroclaw.
The investment was implemented in accordance with the INEA / CEF / TRAN / M2018 / 1787737 subsidy agreement under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) - Transport Sector, under the name of the action: "Elimination of last mile bottlenecks - construction of a reserve car park for cars trucks at the ferry terminal in Świnoujście ", action number 2018-PL-TM-0028-W.
